Let’s Get Crackin’
The Travelin’ Lobster is a family business
The Corson family has been lobstering for generations in the waters surrounding Mount Desert Island. The Travelin Lobster was originally opened in the 1970s by Captain Phil Corson’s parents, Philip and Caroll Corson. In 2002, Kelly’s dad Hank opened a small lobster shack at their cottages (Rose Eden Cottages), which they operated seasonally alongside kelly, Phil and the rest of the family. As the business continued to grow, Kelly took the ropes and moved to our present location in 2016.
Today, we still rely on family first and proudly serving the freshest lobster and seafood around — truly a trap to table experience .

Unbelievable and everything we had hoped for! The quality was incredible! The friendliest place we have been and the lobster roll is the best you will find in the area! Thank you for a great afternoon.

Absolutely fabulous Lobster Roll! It was so good that I had to go back the next day for another! While in Maine, I ate lobster ten days in a row. It was all delicious, but the Travelin Lobster was the BEST!
